Courage Development Foundation – Health Sector

Courage Development Foundation has worked in multiple health related fields. Following are the details of the projects completed in the health field.

 

  1. Up-Gradation and Renovation of Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery and the Provision of Medical Equipment and other missing Facilities – Mayo Hospital Lahore, Pakistan
  2. Medical Camps for Women and Children

Up-Gradation and Renovation of Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery and the Provision of Medical Equipment and other missing Facilities.

Funding Agency:- UNHCR

Objective:-To enhance capacity of the Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery to treat increased number of patients of emergency, accidents and trauma in a safe building with Wards, Operation Theaters and Intensive Care Unit equipped with modern medical equipment to bring utmost relief to the patients

Beneficiaries :-

The project will benefit thousands of patients needing treatment of facial surgery, cancer and other problems. Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery is the only such facility in the Punjab so it has high load of patients. The Department treats more than 1500 patients on daily basis while operating 250 patients in a month. The provision of facilities will enhance this capacity and more patients will be treated.

Medical Camps for Women and Children

The flood 2010 not only damaged the shelters and infrastructure but also the health facilities. The expecting mothers especially faced difficulties due to flood. In this situation CDF organized free medical camps along with dispensaries to provide the basic health services to the flood affectees but also arranged service of referral and transportation to the health facilities for the mothers.
